The Jr. High football team had a commendable season with a final record of 5-4. Their journey was marked by a remarkable turnaround, starting 0-3 but finishing strong with a 5-1 record in the final 6 game stretch. Noteworthy victories against Mitchell, Forest Park, Paoli, and West Washington showcased the team's resilience. Throughout the season, the team underwent significant positive changes, evolving into a cohesive unit that played with immense enthusiasm and a true love for the game. Key improvements in ball security, open-field tackling, and maintaining blocks were key contributors to their success on the field. A standout moment of sportsmanship occurred when the boys’ teammate was injured during a home game. The team's response: rallying around their teammate and offering unwavering support, highlighted the strong bond within the squad. What truly made the season memorable was the consistent commitment to improvement, hard work, positive attitudes, and effective leadership. The players demonstrated not only athletic excellence, but also valuable qualities that will stay with them beyond the football field.
