The girls varsity basketball team embarked on a journey of growth this season, leaving a mark on the court with their relentless effort and unwavering commitment to success. From the outset, they showed promise, but it was their evolution throughout the season that truly stood out. In the early stages of the season, the team faced challenges in finding their identity; however, as the season progressed, they honed their skills and began to play cohesively within their offensive and defensive schemes. Through practice and a collective commitment to improvement, they started to believe in themselves and their abilities. Key to their success was the team's dedication to preparation. They immersed themselves in film study, analyzed scouting reports, and diligently executed game plans. This meticulous approach not only bolstered their confidence but also positioned them for success on the court. Throughout the season, there were moments that showcased the team's potential. A pivotal conference win over Mitchell early in the season hinted at their competitive spirit and determination. As the season unfolded, their cohesion became increasingly apparent, culminating in impressive performances against stellar opponents like Heritage Hills and Northeast Dubois. Although their journey ended in a close defeat in Sectional 48, the team's resilience and growth were undeniable. Under the guidance of their coaches, they set a standard of excellence for underclassmen to aspire to, leaving behind a legacy of perseverance and teamwork. Reflecting on the season, first year coach Sean Schaefer expressed immense pride in the team's accomplishments, highlighting their remarkable growth and dedication to success. “Our team experienced a tremendous amount of growth this season! From the beginning they showed relentless effort and determination to succeed. Over the course of the season, our girls learned how to play together within our system. The team understood what we were trying to accomplish and did the little things that great teams do. I am incredibly proud of their efforts and excited about the standard they established for future classes!”

Commodore Manufacturing won Innovative Program of the Year at the Indiana Chamber Impact Award Luncheon! Commodore Manufacturing was recognized as a student ran business that offers a Department of Labor Approved Apprenticeship.

Hunter Kellems and Eli Underhill earned 2nd place for Commodore Engineering for the 2024 Student Industries Case Competition! They won $4000 for their class! The competition is a highly competitive event and the team was complemented for having an impressive performance and unique approach for creating multi-piece assembly to service an industry partner’s request.
We want to congratulate our Perry Central Band Members for their performances at Indiana State School Music Association Solo and Ensemble last weekend. Trumpet Soloist (Taylor Hagman) and the Percussion Ensemble (Riley Foster, Bella Harpenau, Justin French, Allison Meyer, Julia Walsh, Wyatt Harris, Noah Shearn, and Madison Kelly) all earned a Gold rating! Boys Basketball Sectional begins next week. Perry Central will play the winner of Game 2 (North Posey vs. South Spencer) next Friday, March 1st at 7:00 p.m. Sectional is at Southridge Memorial Gym in Huntingburg. Tickets are $7.00 per session or $15 for season pass (preschool aged children and younger are free). They are asking fans to please pre-purchase tickets to speed up the lines at the gate.
