Brittany Taylor’s 4th grade class is creating a bookshelf of books that they have read to displaced on their classroom door. It has the person who read it, the title, author and genre of the book. #good2bgreen


Students in Mrs. Guillaume’s Precision Ag class got to see some new technology in agriculture at Miller Farms. They learned about the benefits of drones and how they could help farmers have more precise ways to spray fields, fence rows, etc. Precision Agriculture at its finest!




This week PC's Small Business Thursday to volunteer at the Angel Store in

Perry Central Engineering students participated in the VUJC CTIM Challenge today. Local industries created challenges for students to solve and students got to be on VUJCs campus. It was a great day of learning! #good2bgreen





8th Grade students learned from guest speaker, Ron Rathfon, Extension Forester, earlier this week. Students learned about Indiana forest history, forestry management methods, how to take and measure tree core samples and how to measure boards using forestry equipment. Thanks to Mr. Rathfon for sharing his time and talents! #good2bgreen

For this week's SBT, the students got to visit the mini-spa. The owners of Just Breathe and Esthetics by Cam helped our Small Business Thursday students make facial scrubs and talked about how they thrive owning a business in Tell City. #good2bgreen





What a blessing it is to live in a community that invests their most precious gift of time to all Perry County 10th grade students. Around 100 professionals participated in Aspire (career speed dating) yesterday and talked to students about their careers, answered questions and helped students understand the power of social capital. It was a perfect day! #good2bgreen #pickperry.





Students from Commodore Manufacturing presented at the Conexus Indiana Enterprise network session in downtown Indy. Individuals there called Commodore Manufacturing's presentation and company a “mic drop” moment because of the great job they do. Thanks to Mr. Josh Craney for the program he has built. Students from Agriculture and our CIA Enterprise also visited to meet students from other schools and gain ideas about how to grow more enterprise programs at PC. We are proud of our enterprise program and look forward to expanding enterprises across our pathways.

Yesterday all 8th grade students from PC and TC participated in the Tour of Opportunity! There were so many businesses that participated including Waupaca (who bought everyone lunch), ATTC, Perry County Hospital, Ivy Tech, Meggitt, Tell City Electric, KKIL, Trilogy, Branchville Prison, ORG-Chem Group, and PCDC. They prepared some great career tours and hands-on activities for our 8th graders. #good2bgreen #pickperry





For this weeks Small Business Thursday, Perry Central Students were invited to Big Tales bait shop. Jeremiah Bryant talked to the students about what it takes to run a bait shop. He also showed the students how Helvetia lures are made and talked about fishing and the different types of equipment used. #good2bgreen
